Serves as the focal point responsible for soliciting data needed to prepare the annual budget. Provides support and assistance to senior staff; and makes recommendations for the execution and implementation of the annual budget.
Provides support and assistance for preparation of annual financial operating plans, initiates and executes quarterly reviews, and completes monthly budgetary requirements. Maintains fiscal controls (cuff records/spreadsheets) to ensure compliance with stated allocations and allotments. Tracks and monitors expenditures and makes recommendations based on trends, deficiencies, and known or anticipated program requirements. Prepares monthly workload and status reports for review by senior management. Distributes specialized reports and metrics to improve resource utilization.
Initiates, prepares and forwards documents for processing in support of requests for personnel actions. Independently applies experience and knowledge to develop status updates reports; assist managers with preparation of position descriptions, job analysis tools, pay/decision tools, and other general correspondence required by AHR for staffing and classification requests.
Coordinates with the Airports budget team to ensure all hiring and recruitment activities and plans are developed and managed to applicable staffing levels. Ensures end-of-year hiring numbers are obtained and are consistent with Airports priorities. Supports and assists with on/off boarding activities, including new hire orientation, computer equipment, phone and wireless devices, office space assignments, and exit clearance procedures. Supports and assists with annual awards and recognition programs.
Monitors appropriate documentation in support of procurement activities such as office supplies, materials, equipment, and contractual services. Monitors costs, tracks expenditures, approves procurement requests for budgetary purposes. Serves as back-up fund certifier, as needed. Reviews travel requests, including travel authorizations and vouchers, to ensure compliance with travel policy, guidelines and requirements. Submits travel hierarchy requirements for new employees and modifications for travel system updates and/or changes.
Provides support and assistance to management and staff on performance management activities, including developing and submitting performance plans, tracking and monitoring interim/final ratings, and rewarding performance within established timelines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-G, FG/GS-11 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
