In order to be qualified for this position at the GS-11, you must possess one of the following:
A. One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-9 level in the Federal service, leading the investigation of alleged criminal activities to gather evidence and recommend next steps; providing guidance to others on law enforcement practices and procedures; and implementing program plans and associated budgets to support law enforcement operations - OR -
B. Three years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree with a major field of study in natural resource management, natural sciences, earth sciences, history, archeology, anthropology, park and recreation management, law enforcement/police science, social sciences, museum sciences, business administration, public administration, behavioral sciences, sociology, or other closely related subjects pertinent to the management and protection of natural and cultural resources - OR -
C. A combination of specialized experience, as described in A and graduate education as described in B that, when combined, equals 100% of the total requirement. (Please note: only graduate education in excess of the first two years - normally 36 semester hours - may be used in this calculation.)
