You will:
Serve as a technical advisor on issues pertaining to all data and information management programs including geospatial, library, records, collaboration of environmental and administrative information, and exchange grants.
Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the organizational unit, ensuring that they comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
Represent the Agency with a variety of functional area organizations.

This position is designated as High Risk and requires a background investigation. Unless an appropriate background investigation is already on record with the Office of Personnel Management, you must undergo a background investigation. To qualify for this position, you must have either:

-a bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited or pre-accredited college or university in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks. To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as managing the planning, development, or coordination of programs associated with annual resources, grants, contracts or budget; interpreting Geographic tools/databases/initiatives; and coaching, mentoring, or leading others.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
