Specialized Experience: For the GS-7, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-5 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: Using statistical theories, methodology, and techniques to solve problems; assisting with the planning and executing of projects or programs with rigid deadlines; assisting with conducting analysis using statistical software (including but not limited to SAS, SPSS, S-Plus, STATA, R and Minitab); AND communicating in person, via email, presentations, written reports and/or over the phone.

Education: 1 year of graduate-level education or superior academic achievement.
For the GS-09, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: planning and executing projects or programs with rigid deadlines; analyzing and managing various programs and activities providing technical advice and making recommendations; conducting analysis using statistical software (including but not limited to SAS, SPSS, S-Plus, STATA, R and Minitab); AND communicating data results in the form of written reports, graphs, charts and tables; presenting findings in a formal setting such as a classroom, conference or professional meeting.

Education: 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree.
