The mission of the Office of Associate Chief Counsel (International) is to provide effective legal counsel that advances the uniform interpretation, administration, enforcement, and litigation of the international provisions of the Internal Revenue Code and tax treaties and agreements to which the United States is a party. ACC (I) provides legal advice to the public, the IRS, other business units in the Office of Chief Counsel, Department of the Treasury, Department of Justice, Congress, other federal agencies, international organizations, and foreign governments. Attorneys in ACC (I) provide legal advice in resolution; international information gathering services; coordinating and negotiating with other countries to develop consistent tax rules; assisting the Treasury Department in developing and drafting legislative proposals.
As an Attorney-Advisor (Tax) - Assistant to the Branch Chief, you will:
