Incumbent supervises and manages a team of analysts to establish, assess, and report program performance and its alignment with the Agency's mission, strategic goals, objectives, targets, and U.S. Government foreign policy. This position is only open to status candidates who are current employees of the U.S. Agency for Global Media. This is a temporary position Not-To-Exceed 1 Year and may be extended up to a maximum of 5 years without the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) approval. Selection may also be made permanent without further competition or be terminated at any time.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Serves as a primary strategic advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and agency leadership, developing and presenting strategies to ensure mission delivery and to assess critical changes in the competitive landscape, global marketplace, and external media environment:
There is no specific educational requirement and applicant cannot substitute education for experience at this grade level.
1. Current USAGM career or career-conditional employees are not required to submit a copy of their latest SF-50, Notification of Personnel Action and/or a copy of the SF-50 that reflects career or career-conditional tenure, during the current pandemic. Status to apply will be reviewed by HR Specialist for eligibility.
2. If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/59 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act. The Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency.
3. If selected you will subject to a security investigation to establish your suitability for federal employment. The security investigation will include, among other aspects, a review of your credit and legal history.
4. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
5. The temporary period of the assignment may be extended or converted to permanent.
