If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for investigating and litigating criminal cases by providing litigation support services in support of the trial teams. Typical work assignments will include:
-Interfacing with administrative staff and management officials to assure legal support services and administrative requirements are met;
-Reviewing and analyzing directives, orders, manuals, and guidance correspondence to support compliance with district policies, procedures, and Department of Justice/Executive Office of the United States Attorney regulations;
-Planning and organizing work projects and assignments to be accomplished by subordinates, prepares schedules for completion of work in order to meet deadlines and ensure an even work flow of work;
-Acting as a liaison between the district and other government offices to ascertain records, reports, documents, etc., requested with pending legal matters;
-Implementing and advising staff of new policies and/or modifies existing procedures;
-Providing trial team management by assigning legal support for each criminal trial;
-Planning work to be accomplished by staff;-Identifying the developmental and training needs of staff;
-Hearing and resolving complaints and grievances from employees; effects minor disciplinary measures as required.
-Traveling between the San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose offices.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
