Background Investigation: This position is designated as a High Risk Public-Trust position. Incumbent will be required to undergo a Background Investigation (BI) upon entrance to the position and will also be required to undergo reinvestigation periodically. Use of Firearms: You will be required to carry a firearm while performing the duties of this position and must maintain firearm proficiency throughout the duration of employment. This information will be verified through the Public Trust Background Investigation.
Security Response Force (SRF) Academy: If selected, you must successfully complete an intensive 8-10 week basic training conducted at Grand Coulee, WA, prior to standing post.
Firearm Proficiency: Upon completion of the SRF Academy, the employee must meet marksmanship standards. In addition, the employee must successfully pass the annual firearms proficiency test. If the employee fails to demonstrate firearm proficiency initially or upon recertification, he/she will be removed from their position.
Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework only during an emergency or natural disaster.
