At full performance, as a IT Cybersecurity Specialist (CYBERMGT), you will:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating the following four competencies:

Providing a knowing and willful false statement on either DOE's COVID-19 Vaccination Form prior to starting or when providing proof of vaccination in DOE's MyEnergy system once onboard is punishable by fine and/or imprisonment (18 U.S.C. 1001) and will result in termination from Federal service.

This position is announced under a government-wide Direct-Hire Authority (DHA) for 2210 Cyber positions in the 2210 series. Under the DHA, applicants who meet the Education and Qualification requirements listed in this announcement will be referred for consideration. The Department of Energy's Office of Enterprise Assessments (EA) performs independent assessments for DOE senior leadership that report on whether national security material and information assets are appropriately protected and whether Departmental operations provide for the safety of its employees and the public. In addition, EA implements the Department's congressionally-authorized contractor enforcement programs for security and safety on behalf of the Secretary of Energy and operates the DOE National Training Center (NTC).
The Office of Cyber Assessments works to establish and maintain a continuous program for assessing the security of DOE classified and unclassified networks through expert program and technical analysis, including detailed network penetration testing to detect vulnerabilities and risks that could be exploited by sophisticated adversaries and terrorists. The Office analyzes cyber security trends and studies complex-wide issues in order to provide feedback on essential information assurance practices to DOE Headquarters and sites.
