The Geographic Program Manager (Maintenance) has responsibility for the Geographic Program within the geographical area and for the performance of inspections and surveillance (to include certification and other assignments as requested by the Principal Inspector) on air carriers/air operators operating under Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Parts 121, 125, 129, 133, 135, and 137. Identifies and establishes work programs for inspection and surveillance within manpower and budget limitations. Functions as the focal point for office communications with principal inspectors in other offices/regions.

To qualify for this position, you must also demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
The recency of specialized experience is waived for current FAA employees in the 1825 series.
