Performs receiving and disbursing cashier duties. Ensures proper identification is presented before disbursement is made. Collects cash receipts, cash register tapes, checks, credit card receipts, club tokens, coupons, and other supporting documentation. Prepares and issues change from funds as required. May be required to prepare bank deposits and ensure daily deposit in a timely manner. May be required to ensure all monies are accounted for by balancing with the posting of funds placed in the activity's safe before actual bank deposit. May prepare cash reports and notify supervisor of any suspected irregularities. Cashes checks and accepts payment for dues and charges to accounts. May be required to ensure the proper accounting for charge cards, sales slips, and guest checks and ensure they are included within the daily cashier's report. Accepts and processes new membership applications. Sells a variety of merchandise items such as prepackaged snacks, candy and beverages, and may also sell club special event tickets. Operates a cash register or point of sale system, rings up sales receives money and makes change, processes credit card sale, or charges to member's account. At the end of each tour of duty, clears the register/POS and turns over cash and supporting documents as instructed. Conducts daily inventories, maintains area in clean and orderly condition.
In a Food Activity: Performs check-out such as ringing up food, beverages and merchandise by individual item; totaling sales; processing credit card sales; receiving money; and making change. May perform related food service duties such as assisting in setting up the serving line; replenishing beverage dispensers; clearing tables and other related tasks. In a Bingo Activity: Performs check-out such as selling bingo cards and session packs and other associated session and special game cards; Quick Shot cards; Electronic cards; and other related tasks associated with Bingo calling, verifying winners and other related tasks required for the Bingo Program.
