Business students will be assigned to work with SEC staff members on projects/assignments that cover a broad range of the Commission's work. That work depends upon the division/office where the student works. Intern assignments range from supporting securities regulations to drafting standard operating procedures, putting together data reports, performing requirements or data analysis or assisting in professional administrative duties such as human resources, contracting, auditing, etc.

Volunteer internship opportunities in the Spring are full-time or part-time, with a minimum of 15 hours per week to ensure we are providing an enriching and rewarding experience while meeting the needs of the Commission. Academic and/or work-study credit is available to all Spring volunteers. We will work with your academic institution to ensure all applicable forms are completed, when and where applicable.

Students will also have the opportunity to participate in seminars/workshops; roundtable discussions, and a mentoring program that will provide detailed information and guidance on securities laws.
