Serves as the recognized talent acquisition expert, responsible for planning, developing, and initiating short-and long-term staffing initiatives and strategic programs, policies, and procedures for IRS.

- Tour of Duty: Dayshift; Monday-Friday; 8:00 am- 4:30 pm
- Alternative work schedule, staggered work hours or telework may be available.
- If you are in a telework eligible position, you may be directed to temporarily telework on a full-time basis due to COVID 19. Employees must be within a 150-mile radius of their official assigned post-of-duty (POD) while in a telework status. Once normal operations resume, employees may be directed back to the office to perform the duties of their position. Telework eligibility does not guarantee telework; employees must meet and sustain IRS telework eligibility requirements and supervisor's approval to participate in the IRS Telework Program. As a reminder - If you are selected for a position, you are responsible for reporting to your designated POD (location) on the negotiated start date or as directed by management.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Grade 15: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the requirements below. You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal Government. Specialized experience is defined as that which provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be qualifying, your experience must demonstrate a mastery knowledge of the concepts, principles, practices, laws, and regulations of human resources management (HRM) and a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods sufficient to serve in an authoritative role, providing advice, developing policy, and/or developing interventions on complex service-wide issues (e.g., redesign of HR processes). You must have experience applying project management skills; influencing others in support of business goals; and demonstrate communicative techniques in order to meet and deal tactfully and persuasively with others to resolve issues which are often controversial and sensitive in nature and to maintain harmonious relationships with all parties.
