What is The Enterprise Digitalization and Case Management Office (ED&CM) Division?
Enterprise Digitalization and Case Management Office (ED&CM) is an integral part of the IRS with the unique mission to enhance the taxpayer and employee experience by improving business processes and modernizing systems through two critical initiatives: Digitalization and Enterprise Case Management. ED&CMO addresses IRS's need to modernize and consolidate many aging legacy systems. It empowers taxpayers and IRS employees to rapidly resolve issues in a simplified digital environment by drawing on leading industry practices to identify what combination of business processes and technology work best for IRS customers and employees.

- Tour of Duty: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Alternative work schedule, staggered work hours or telework may be available.
- If you are in a telework eligible position, you may be directed to temporarily telework on a full-time basis due to COVID 19. Employees must be within a 150-mile radius of their official assigned post-of-duty (POD) while in a telework status. Once normal operations resume, employees may be directed back to the office to perform the duties of their position. Telework eligibility does not guarantee telework; employees must meet and sustain IRS telework eligibility requirements and supervisor's approval to participate in the IRS Telework Program. As a reminder - If you are selected for a position, you are responsible for reporting to your designated POD (location) on the negotiated start date or as directed by management.
GS-07 LEVEL: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience that is related to the work of this position and has provided you with the competencies required for successful job performance. Examples of qualifying experience include participating in planning and coordinating programs, projects or processes which impact customers; managing administrative assignments; monitoring activities to ensure timeliness, consistency and completeness; reviewing responses, reports and memoranda on behalf of the organization and experience using analytical techniques to perform routine analyses of data and information to develop conclusions.

You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) - A Bachelors degree, with one of the following: A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all completed undergraduate courses or those completed in the last 2 years of study, or a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all courses in the major field of study or those courses in the major completed in the last 2 years of study, or rank in the upper one third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, or membership in a national scholastic honor society recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies.

At least one academic year of graduate education in a field of study that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position. One year of graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended.

GS-09 LEVEL: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Participating in planning and coordinating programs, projects or processes which impact customers; managing administrative assignments; monitors activities to ensure timeliness, consistency and completeness; reviewing responses, reports and memoranda to develop consolidated responses on behalf of the organization; experience using analytical techniques to perform analyses of data and information and to recommend appropriate courses of action and implementing new procedures using a knowledge of administrative policy and procedures.
