BASIC QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: This is a collateral duty assignment with no promotion potential, change to your current permanent position description of record, or post of duty. Your experience must demonstrate your technical expertise to plan and conduct formal classroom training on basic or advanced areas of tax law, procedures, policies, techniques, or other specialized fields unique to your position/occupation. The cadre position covered by this announcement is identified below:
BASIC REQUIREMENT : As a first level supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for assigning, directing, and reviewing the work of subordinates employees; planning, scheduling, and coordinating work operations; planning and carrying out the training and development of employees; evaluating employees' work performance; and performing all other related administrative functions.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: IR-08
To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the requirements below. You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower level within the payband or GS grade in the normal line of progression in the Federal service. To be qualifying for this position your experience should be sufficient to demonstrate:
Experience applying management techniques, methods, theories, principles, and labor relations concepts, to assure optimum utilization of personnel, equipment, and space for the accomplishment of all program objectives with combined technical and administrative oversight;
AND
MEET TIME IN GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT: For positions above the GS-05, applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the grade you are applying for.
