To qualify for the GS-11 grade level, applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience is experience that provided knowledge of ERISA rules, regulations and enforcement and regulatory policies and procedures, as well as Federal criminal statutes and the Federal rules of evidence; knowledge and experience in investigative techniques and methods of financial examination in order to obtain the necessary information to assess employee benefit plan operations, fiduciary conduct, and individual transactions.

3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree (related to the position to be filled.)
