Serves as a Supervisory Airway Transportation Systems Specialist, with full management responsibility for the NEMC Systems Performance Team within the Enterprise Operations Group, NAS Security and Enterprise Operations. The NEMC Systems Performance Team provides support to first level maintenance activities for assigned NAS enterprise services and infrastructure.
Manages staff Salt Lake City, UT that provide 24/7 operational support with rotating shifts. Duties have a direct impact on the NAS. Has full responsibility for overall administrative, technical, and operational direction of the assigned workforce consisting of ATSSs and support staff involved in providing critical NAS services to enroute and terminal air traffic control, commercial airlines, general aviation aircraft, in support of both U.S. and international air traffic.
Oversees systems performance specialists in performing NAS restoration activities, periodic maintenance activities, and implementation of modifications to the services/infrastructure. Coordinates and supports implementation of new systems and services, and supports development and updates to the triage processes for interfacing and escalating issues or unresolved complex problems to the Operational Support Directorate.
Ensures customer service is timely, professional and receives the maximum consideration on all aspects of job performance. Establishes and maintains working relationships with internal/external personnel and co-workers with cooperation, collaboration, trust, and respect. Coordinates and works with System Performance Specialists (SPSs), contractors, and vendors in support of network and equipment problems.
Oversees and participates in efforts to analyze enterprise systems and services, perform anomaly investigation and perform logging and ticket activities. Conducts daily review of log files, running scripts to update PCs, and capturing and sending files and logs to requesting organizations, e.g. NADIN files to the Tech Center and BWM files to the program office, etc. Participates in testing efforts with a variety of operational facilities, including the NEMC. Installs, repairs, fabricates, modifies, and maintains legacy NEMC systems and equipment.

Directs and assigns the work of subordinate employees. Sets priorities and deadlines; assigns tasks and responsibilities; plans deadlines; sets standards of acceptable work; and establishes work schedules and approves leave while ensuring adequate shift coverage for the accomplishment of work assigned to effectively manage NAS operations.
Applies comprehensive knowledge of the technical aspects of the work directed, detailed knowledge of the applicable Collective Bargaining Unit agreement(s) and other administrative policies and procedures, and an understanding of the objectives of the organization when communicating plans and strategies.
