Physical Demands: Heavy physical effort is required in constantly reaching, bending, turning, and moving hands, arms, feet and legs to handle different sets of controls to operate equipment and attachments. Considerable strain is caused by the constant vibration of the equipment and the jerking and jolting from operating over rough surfaces. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds and often puts forth similar effort when pushing, pulling, turning and positioning parts, assemblies, equipment and tools.
Working Conditions: Works both inside and outside with the majority of duties performed outside. When working outside, worker is frequently exposed to inclement weather. Incumbent works in rain, mud, snow, and in hot/cold temperatures. The operator is frequently exposed to irritation or discomfort from dust, fumes, oils, solvents and cold and dampness. Worker is frequently exposed to the possibility of receiving cuts, abrasions, bruises and strains while servicing and operating equipment. Follows prescribed safety practices and uses safety equipment such as protective hearing devices and hard hats.You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
