Performs service delivery and management, analysis and process development oversight duties. Supports the service strategy, design, transition, operations and improvement documentation, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and configuration management support of Information Technology (IT) services to meet the business requirements of customer organizations. Independently identifies and analyzes service objectives, functions, and customer requirements to determine the feasibility of developing new services or modifying existing services to meet customer business needs. Facilitates customer activity throughout the service delivery process. Ensures that changing customer requirements are properly addressed.
Evaluates alternatives for service delivery processes and improvements. Recommends actions based on efficiency, effectiveness, and quality. Participates in service integration testing and applies results to modify requirements and applies corrective matters as appropriate. Drafts documentation in accordance with the policy requirements defined in the Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) best practices, applicable Management Directives, local policies, and in accordance with the Office of Management and Budget policy guidelines for IT governance.
Plans, monitors, and approves assignments for IT service support.
Provides recommendations for service delivery services, hardware and software acquisitions relating to specific computer equipment and software packages. Conducts continuing review of new developments in IT applicable to service management and delivery relevant to the NRC IT services. Prepares evaluations of requirements and recommends course of action for management consideration. Finalizes requirements; prepares design documents; tests software, implements service solutions, finalizes service security, utilizes service delivery lifecycle management tools.
You must meet the qualifications for this position by no later than 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement and before placement in the position.
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year (or 52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
To qualify at the GG-13 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GG-12 grade level which includes performing and supporting IT service delivery and management, analysis and process development oversight duties; independently identifies and analyzes IT customer requirements. In addition, experience working with the IT Infrastructure Library and testing service integration and identifies results to modify requirements and applies corrective action to IT matters.
To qualify at the GG-12 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GG-11 grade level which includes performing and supporting IT service delivery and management, analysis and process development oversight duties; identifies and analyzes IT service objectives, functions, and customer requirements. In addition, has experience with the IT Infrastructure Library and testing service integration and identifies results to recommend modifications to requirements and applies corrective actions to IT matters.
To qualify at the GG-11 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GG-09 grade level which includes supporting the service strategy, design, transition, operations and improvement documentation, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and/or configuration management support of IT services. In addition, has experience supporting the IT Infrastructure Library.
