The incumbent serves as an IT Project Manager in the CBS Feeder System Support Group of the Office of Financial Resources Management (OFRM) at NIST. IT Project Manager leads business systems projects and implementations associated with the CBS suite of applications. Responsible for ensuring projects are managed utilizing appropriate tools and industry best practices, appropriate artifacts are kept up to date to ensure projects are executed within time and budget constraints. Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders as needed and communicates relevant messages to those impacted by the associated projects.

Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate
For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
AND
Applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level (ZP-III at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience with project management including developing and maintaining project management artifacts to ensure projects are executed within time and budget constraints; experience leading business/financial system changes through all aspects of the system development lifecycle; and experience supporting/improving the business/financial system changes after production implementation.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.

This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
The physical worksite for this position is located in Gaithersburg, MD. However, the National Institute of Standards and Technology is currently under a maximum telework posture due to the COVID-19 pandemic; therefore, this position is currently under a 100 percent telework schedule. The position’s telework schedule will likely change in the future when National Institute of Standards and Technology moves away from its maximum telework posture. At that time, the incumbent will be expected to report to the physical work site in accordance with the updated status requirements of their supervisor. The nature and scope of future telework opportunities will be subject to the unit’s telework policy, any applicable bargaining unit agreements, and supervisory approval. Payment of relocation expenses, as applicable, will be paid in accordance with this Job Opportunity Announcement. Non-compliance with the supervisor's telework-schedule requirement could result in adverse action, including separation.
