The primary duties of this position are:
Serves as the Science Division Manager in the Bay-Delta Office (BDO), assigned continuing responsibility for managing the aquatic and fisheries resources programs. Assists the Program Manager in the day-to-day management of program operations that involve highly sensitive and complex interagency and intergovernmental activities. Provides managerial and program coordination assistance to the Program Manager and branch chiefs. Exercises mastery-level knowledge of natural resources management and biological principles and practices, along with a comprehensive knowledge of planning, programming, and budgeting regulations, guidelines, and processes, and a thorough knowledge of Reclamation's laws, program policies, and objectives to develop long- and short-range fisheries resources plans and guidance.
To be eligible, an applicant must meet the following:
Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in biological science (i.e., at least 30 semester hours), of which a minimum of 6 semester hours were in aquatic subjects and 12 semester hours were in the animal sciences, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
This position has a mandatory education requirement.
