WHAT DOES A DISCLOSURE ANALYST DO? A Disclosure Analyst has the responsibility of analyzing, evaluating, and advising management on the effectiveness and efficiency of assigned program operations as it pertains to the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. §552), the Privacy Act (5 U.S.C. §552a), IRC Section 6103 (26 U.S.C. §6103), and treaties (with foreign taxing authorities).

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
GS-13 LEVEL: You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes the application of legal, tax accounting, and Federal laws, regulations and precedent decisions. Preparing, reviewing or applying rulings, advisory letters, memoranda, etc., related to Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 6103, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 5 U.S.C. § 552, and/or the Privacy Act (PA) of 1974, 5 U.S.C. § 552a. Work that required legal research, analysis, and preparation of briefs or similar documents interpreting laws and regulations. Experience in the principles and processes to perform program duties and to effectively coordinate and integrate program objectives and recommendations and the experience in communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
- The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

IRS Reassignment Preference Program (RPP)
You must meet the requirements in your RPP notice. Submit a copy of your RPP Notice along with a copy of your most recent annual performance appraisal. Your performance appraisal must have a fully successful or higher overall rating.
