WHAT DOES A FRONT LINE MANAGER TECHNICIAN DO? As a Front Line Manager, first level supervisor, you will be responsible for assigning, directing, and reviewing the work of subordinate employees. You will use your leadership skills and management techniques for planning, scheduling, and coordinating work operations, planning and carrying out the training and development of employees, evaluating employees' work performance, and in performing all other related administrative functions. Generally, you will direct the work operations of subordinates performing administrative, complex clerical, technical and/or work comparable in nature. The functions, activities, and services provided may have limited geographic coverage and support activities within specific agency program segments.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS (FRONT LINE MANAGER): You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower level within the payband or GS grade in the normal line of progression in the Federal service. To be qualifying for this position your experience should be sufficient to demonstrate:
-The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
-To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.

WHAT IS THE EAGLE PROGRAM?
Join the Employee Achieving Goals and Leadership Experience (EAGLE) Program, a new enterprise-wide program designed to introduce new ‘Workforce Communities’ and expand career management and technical career pathing across the IRS. In collaboration with IRS senior leaders, the Human Capital Office is implementing a new framework that maps your individual career goals to workforce talent needs through meaningful developmental assignments that work for all! To get started, know that everyone belongs to a ‘workforce community’ and each community is represented by a ‘Career Field Team’ who facilitates employee recruitment, development and retention utilizing customized career management strategies. We are looking for individuals like you, who want to lead the workforce community efforts, those who are mission-focused, and ready to expand organizational knowledge and broaden technical skills! Seven (7) vacancies total are to be filled in the Human Capital Office (HCO) division. These positions will be located within Talent Acquisition (TA), Employees Achieving Goals and Leadership Experience (EAGLE) Office. Selectees will remain in their current Posts of Duty (PODs).
