Physical Demands: Work is mostly sedentary, with some walking/hiking in the parks during project activities. Because of the project demands, extended hours and incidental travel may be required that may occasionally result in some personal physical stress. Local travel to project sites, other offices, etc., is expected.
Working Conditions: The incumbent works primarily in an office setting, however there is regular and recurring exposure to various field conditions during site surveys and visits which may expose the Incumbent to weather conditions, high traffic volumes and vehicle speeds, and park visitors.
The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
