Serving as an Assistant General Counsel, the Attorney-Adviser is responsible for supporting the Indo-Pacific regional program activities and USTDA's implementation of its statutory mandate to promote U.S. private sector participation in economic development projects. As such, the incumbent provides advice on the legal aspects of the agency's program and administration in the Indo-Pacific region. Among other duties, the incumbent may perform the following:

The duties of this position are suitable for occasional, situational telework.
Stipulations of Employment:
This term appointment may be extended up to a maximum total period of 4 years or terminated at any time at management's discretion. Selection does not confer eligibility to be promoted or reassigned to other positions or to be non-competitively converted to a career-conditional appointment.
Selection for this term position may require serving a 1-year trial period.
If selected, you will be required to file a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE Form 450).
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and keep a Top Secret security clearance. Appointment is subject to the successful completion of a background investigation and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.
If you left federal employment and received a buyout and you are selected for this position, you may be required to repay the full amount of the buyout to the agency that paid you.

Relocation Expenses:
Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses for this position will not be paid by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency.
