Accurately schedules and coordinates appointments for Veterans ensuring all appointments are booked with patient input.
Calls and sends computer-generated letters to contact patients to schedule new and follow up appointments.
Manages new patient consults to ensure timely scheduling of appointments.
Checks in patients, notifies providers when patients arrives, and updates demographic information.
Assists patients who seek travel coordination, or benefits information.
Cancels and reschedules appointments independently and with the clinical team when required.
Utilizes a standardized checklist to ensure outpatient clinic activities are addressed timely and completely
Processes first party requests for medical records and third party requests from non-VA providers.
Enters all release of information (ROI) requests into the ROI software packages to maintain and accurate database.
Coordinates administrative services for veterans, family members, caregivers, and general public, administrative and clinical staff to ensure continuity of inpatient, outpatient, and community care.
Pulls clinic or workload related reports as outlined in standard work or as requested by clinical team and/or supervisor.

While most tours of duty are scheduled during the day, the possibility of working evenings, nights and weekends to exist.
