This position serves as an Airports Program Assistant for the Office of Airports (ARP), Harrisburg Airports District Office (ADO) Eastern Region, responsible for performing various administrative duties. Provides phone coverage and other administrative support as required by the Manager. Tracks expenditures from the operating budget and provides reports to Manager. Tracks and prepares controlled correspondence including briefing papers, Congressional inquiries, and Freedom of Information Act requests to ensure deadlines are met. Maintains files in accordance with policy and procedures. Establishes organizational controls, monitors deadlines and follows-up with staff. Provides weekly reports of pending actions to Manager. Sends and retrieves records to/from Federal Records Center. Monitors and prepares appropriate documentation in support of procurement request for office supplies and government leased vehicles as requested. Ensures appropriate levels of review and signature for approvals. Serves as the property Delegate responsible for maintaining accountable property records in property management system. Performs annual inventory and processes actions for approval by the Property Custodian. Reviews and verifies employee time and attendance in payroll system and alerts manager of any discrepancies. Tracks and provides updates to management team on travel estimates/expenditures for budgetary purposes. Processes travel authorizations/vouchers in accordance with FAA Travel regulations and validates accounting codes prior to Manager approval. Provide administrative support for Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and/or Passenger Facility Charge as directed by Manager.
To qualify at the FV-F level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-E, FG/GS-7/8 levels. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience may include but is not limited to: Candidate must have experience in performance of duties for an organization of professional/technical staff which requires skill in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other electronic systems to include time and attendance system.
