GS-09 LEVEL: You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
•knowledge of participating in studies, and implementing EEO education programs. The
assignments must have shown completion of the following, or the equivalent:
• Participating in studies, organizational reviews or workforce analyses to identify
systematic equal employment problems.
• Providing assistance to EEO Counselors.
• Assisting in implementing EEO education programs for managers, supervisors, and employees to enhance their understanding of EEO and Diversity programs.
OR A master’s or equivalent graduate degree in a field of study such as: law, psychology, human resources.
OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a graduate degree
in a field of study such as: law, psychology, human resources. One year of graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended. OR At least 1 year of combined graduate education and experience as defined in above. When combining education and experience use the following formula to calculate
the total amount. Part time work experience should be prorated. Formula using Semester
hours: # Sem Hrs completed divided by # of semester hours in a 2 year course of study as defined by your school + # of month’s experience divided by 12 months. Example: 15 Semester hours of college (15/30 - number of semester hours in a 2 year course of study) and 6 months experience (6/12) .50+.50 =1.00. •demonstrated accomplishment of equal employment project assignments that required a range of knowledge of EEO analyses, studies, policies and regulation requirements and techniques. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience that demonstrated accomplishment of EEO and Diversity project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of investigative and training requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled. This knowledge is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant analyzed a number of alternative approaches in the process of advising management concerning major aspects of personnel principles, policies, regulations, and practices relevant to recruitment and staffing, appraisals/evaluations, performance standards, discipline, adverse actions, labor relations, and training; studies of occupations in which discrimination is apparent; and the cause and effect of discrimination and the problems of
minorities and women in the workplace.
