1. As a program analyst covering operational planning or strategic planning, military analyst and expert consultant, works directly with and advises Staff Directorates, subordinate organizations, HQDA, Army Commands (ACOMs), and other Direct Reporting Units (DRUs) to ensure operational and strategic planning issues are fully coordinated.
2. U.S. Army ACP updates, ASMs, Council of Colonels, and workshops employed to shape discussions and decisions associated with command initiatives. Develops intermediate objectives and associated essential tasks required to execute major objectives of the STRATPLAN and the ACP.
3. Conducts mission analysis consistent with the Military Decision Making Process, resulting in the preparation and publishing of operational products consistent with the CG's intent.
4. Researches, coordinates and prepares briefings for senior leadership to strategically communicate the command's current and future themes and messages to senior Army leadership, international military leaders, Congressional staff, the media, industry and other services.
Conditions of Employment
1. Position requires a Secret security clearance be obtained and maintained throughout employment.
2. This position requires temporary duty travel (TDY) up to 10% of the time. Must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
3. Two year probationary period may be required.

ATEC mission statement:
U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) provides direct support to Army Futures Command and relevant, timely information to senior Army leaders to make future force decisions enabling Multi-Domain Operations through rigorous developmental testing and independent operational tests and evaluations.
