WHAT DOES DOES AN AUR COORDINATOR DO? As an AUR Coordinator it will be your responsibility to provide analytical services in developing, analyzing, evaluating and advising, the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, staff utilization, distribution of work assignments, management control information, and documentation systems. The purpose of the work is to coordinate available information for effective implementation, planning and monitoring of the automated system, and to perform analytical studies, making recommendations regarding operating procedures and/or the implementation of new or revised instructions. These studies may identify problems impacting other areas, thus requiring coordination and comprehensive problem identification and resolution.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-11 LEVEL: You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes knowledge of and ability to interpret tax laws and issuances, Internal Revenue Code and Manual, procedures and regulations sufficient to interpret procedural instructions, recommend changes to guidelines and procedures, develop job aids and tax law training materials; Thorough knowledge of the relevant systems (i.e., IDRS, AUR) and master file processing, adjustment procedures and account transaction codes sufficient to reconstruct prior actions on accounts; Knowledge of organizational procedures, functional programs, operations, and processes in order to identify and resolve problems; Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques including statistical process control measures to extract pertinent data; Knowledge of interviewing techniques needed to determine the nature of assistance; and skill communicating with others in a clear and logical manner, both oral and written.

You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows a PH.D or equivalent doctoral degree that demonstrated the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to do the work.
OR
Three (3) full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a doctoral degree in a related field of study that demonstrated the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to do the work.
OR
an LL.M., if related.
