The Statistician/Biostatistician for the Division of Resource Services is a consultant and technical advisor to senior subject matter specialists and high level bureau officials. You will perform the following duties:
You will need to clearly state your undergraduate/graduate degree(s) and submit your college transcripts or a listing of your college courses that includes hours and grades.

In addition to meeting the education requirement, you must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples: Coordinating multi-scale data collection and reporting at the State or Regional level, designing and carrying out statistical surveys for riparian/wetland, aquatic, or terrestrial vegetative resources. Designing and managing statistically valid survey designs for riparian/wetland, aquatic, or terrestrial vegetative resources with minimal oversight from a supervisor. Using statistical packages like R or SPSS to create monitoring designs and analyze data, including customization of scripts. Provide review or guidance of monitoring programs at the state or regional level. Coordinate with federal and other entities for resources management.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
