The Finger Lakes Healthcare System is seeking an experienced, full time non-invasive Cardiologist (M.D. or D.O) who is Board Certified or Eligible. Duties include oversight of all aspects of cardiac care delivered to referred patients and participating in daily ambulatory/outpatient Cardiology clinic services primarily at our Rochester VA Outpatient Clinic, and possibly the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. The Cardiologist will consult and manage and provide education and counseling of Veterans in preventative care and apply evidence-based care for an array of cardiac conditions, while also supervising comprehensive outpatient cardiac procedures. The Rochester Clinic has the capacity to perform a wide variety of outpatient Cardiology services including EKG and Arrhythmia monitoring interpretation, echocardiograms, exercise and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms, Transesophageal echocardiograms, and cardioversions. The Cardiologist will establish a professional relationship with clinical service providers within the outpatient center, provide telephone and curbside consultations and screen consultative and procedural requests for appropriateness. The ability to provide telecardiology services to other Finger Lakes Healthcare System locations is a plus. Academic appointment and training program participation is also available through the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Work Schedule: Permanent, Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. No Weekend or weekend on call. No inpatient coverage.

Education and length of practice will be considered through a formal pay-setting process in determining the final compensable salary (Base Pay + Market Pay).

The Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) is a recruitment incentive that may be offered on a case by case basis to new permanently appointed employees based upon the availability of funding.
