1. Responsible for the management and administration of the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) program. Advises the MAJCOM SF IDS program manager of any base or site activities that will impact the Integrated Base Defense Security Systems (IBDSS) program. This includes, but is not limited to, mission changes resulting in increase or decrease of resources, reconfiguration of resource areas, and construction of facilities on or in the vicinity of current and planned sensor locations. Reports and documents all IDS maintenance requirements to the servicing maintenance organization. Monitors IDS false and nuisance alarms and, when necessary, requests assistance from the maintenance organization to resolve problems and deficiency.
2. Responsible for the management and administration of the physical access control systems (i.e. Defense Biometrics Identification System - DBIDS). Manages entry control point (ECP) related applications associated with DBIDS and the Security Forces Information Management System (SFMIS). Manages the functional and operational sustainment of all data processing programs such as DBIDS, SFMIS, and other systems installed and/or programed for the ECP. Provides feedback to supervisor regarding identified or perceived base access vulnerabilities with recommendations for their mitigation.
3. Performs administrative office support functions and develops, coordinates, and publishes all SF installation level publications to include the Installation Security Plan, the Installation Security Instruction, and SF annexes to all installation plans.
4. Performs installation security duties. Leads and manages SF programs designed to provide a secure mission environment. Establishes requirements for police services, physical security,and Anti-Terrorism programs. Establishes liaison between SF and civilian law enforcement agencies.
5. Manages police services. Develops and writes localized SF policies and procedures. Manages installation entry control, visitor center operations, and special functions/events. Administers and manages Resource Protection and Crime Prevention programs.
6. Manages Security Forces Management Information System (SFMIS).
7. Performs and enforces the full range of SF duties within the military installation. Apprehend and detain violators of laws, rules, and regulations and turn them over to the Federal or civil police or other law enforcement officers for arrest and posting of collateral.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: All Series GS-0080 personnel must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level. Each applicant must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career level, as cited on page two. Applicants must have the experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Defined as progressively responsible work that demonstrates the candidate's full competency (Knowledge, Skill, Ability, and Behaviors) to perform tasks and responsibilities as described in the pertinent position description. It includes military administration, military security, and/or personnel management experience that prepares the applicant to perform the duties and responsibilities to achieve the required competency levels as defined by the applicable position description.
