As a Professor of Engineering Management, you will apply your knowledge, experience, technical abilities and managerial skills to teach, facilitate, coach and mentor students. The duties of this position on a daily/weekly basis will include:
1. Performs as a "thinking partner" and consultant with acquisition customers and students, continuously improving product and service delivery to provide the right knowledge and skills at the point of need through mission assistance, workshops, classroom offerings and on-line resources.
2. Creates content and coordinates with learning asset and technology divisions, which have central responsibility for development of curriculum, to modify assets and delivery methods as needed.
3. Develops and conducts lectures, cases, simulations, workshops and field trips.
4. Leads and facilitates student discussion, problem solving, and presentations.
5. Prepares course materials (student and instructor) according to current instructional systems design technology and develops course schedules.
6. Develops and analyzes student assessments, and provides student counseling to ensure the highest degree of learning.
7. Develops or contributes to development of online assets that customers can leverage in the absence of direct access to DAU faculty.
Serves as a Professor of Engineering Management with extensive engineering knowledge and experience in the engineering management of large and complex military systems. Positive Education Requirement for 0854 series: Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Software Engineering, IT Management, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

You must possess a Bachelor's Degree and have at least 4 years of experience in the appropriate functional area in either government or industry.
Pay Band B: Minimum Prerequisites
You must possess a Master's Degree in a related area from an accredited college or university and at least 6 years of experience in the appropriate functional area in either a government or industry position.
Pay Band C: Minimum Prerequisites
You must possess a Master's Degree in a related area from an accredited college or university and at least 8 years of experience in the appropriate functional area in either a government or industry position.
