Students who are accepted for enrollment or currently enrolled and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) in a qualifying educational institution and preference eligible veterans meeting this criteria.
Prepare travel documents, enter and/or validate time and attendance records in automated database systems. Responsible for drafting, editing, and formatting letters, memos, and other written correspondence. Process incoming and outgoing mail, including material transmitted electronically. Deliver incoming mail and assemble and mail outgoing material. Provide assistance in the completion of records reviews, inventories, and dispositions.
You cannot hold an active real estate license; nor can you have an interest or hold stocks in firms with interest in Federal Land.
There is not a specialized experience requirement for this position. You must meet the basic minimum qualification requirements in order to be eligible for this position.
Basic Minimum Qualification Requirements:

To be creditable, experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade (GS-03) of the position to be filled.
Experience: For the GS-04 grade level, you may qualify based on completion of 2 academic year post high school study or an associate's degree.; This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university. OR 1 year of general experience, OR Combination of Education and Experience: Total qualifying education as described above and experience as listed above are combined together and when combined must total to equal at least 100 percent to qualify.

This position is for students accepted for enrollment or are currently enrolled and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) in an accredited high school, technical or vocational school, 2-year or 4-year college or university, graduate or professional school, on a full- or half-time basis (as defined by the academic institution in which the student is enrolled).
This is a temporary, excepted service appointment under the BLM Pathways Internship Program that is expected not-to-exceed 1 year. This type of appointment is intended only for temporary projects, to perform labor-intensive tasks not requiring subject matter expertise, or to fill traditional summer jobs. The BLM will require the selected applicant to complete a Participant Agreement in which it shall document the anticipated start and end dates for this temporary appointment.
