Basis for Rating: Qualified candidates will be assigned to one of three quality categories: Best Qualified, Highly Qualified and Qualified. Veteran preference eligibles are listed ahead of non-preference eligibles within each quality category.

DoD (and NREMT-Paramedic when applicable) Certificates: You MUST submit a copy of the following: EMT-Paramedic certification certified through DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification System, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), or the Fire Service Professional Qualifications System (PRO-Board) (AND a Illinois or National Registry EMT-Paramedic Certification Card indicating a future expiration date when applicable).
