The Hematologist/Oncologist can evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment in an outpatient setting or in the form of inpatient consultative services to patients of all ages presenting with illnesses and disorders of the blood and blood-forming tissues and/or malignant tumors. This includes: performing and interpreting peripheral blood smears, bone marrow aspirations and biopsy, administration of chemotherapeutic agents and biological response to modifiers through all therapeutic routes, including intrathecalchemotherapy, the management and care of indwelling venous access catheters, plasmapheresis, and therapeutic phlebotomy. Privileges also include admission, work up, diagnosis, and provision of treatment for patients in the Acute Care setting.
Work Schedule: Varying Shifts which may include nights, weekend and holidays - Physicians will be required to be available between 5 to 35 hours per week.
