The Hematology Oncology Section at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center is seeking a board certified or eligible Hematologist Oncologist with a tenure-eligible faculty appointment at a level commensurate with experience in the Division of Hematology Oncology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Currently, the VA Hematology Oncology section consists of one full-time and two part-time faculty with clinical orientation. Duties include but are not limited to:
Must be proficient in written and spoken English
Subject to a background/security investigation
You may be required to serve a two year probationary period

Physical Requirements: All applicants must meet the physical standards for the position. A physical examination prior to employment may be required. In the process of providing patient care, the work involves regular and recurring periods of walking, standing, sitting, bending, pulling, lifting, reaching and carrying. Manual dexterity is required to operate medical equipment and perform activities such as surgery, treatments and computerized medical record documentation
Note: Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) before the starting date of the position. The BLS requirement is satisfied by successfully completing an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider Course or Military Training Network (MTN). The ACLS requirement is satisfied by attaining, and maintaining, current status through an approved AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course. No online certifications will be accepted.
