WHAT DOES A MANAGEMENT PROGRAM ANALYST DO? As a Project/Program Manager you will be responsible for accomplishing various analytical studies and/or projects relating to substantive, mission-oriented programs of the Internal Revenue Service. The studies or projects involve complex programs, systems, or issues and have impact on multiple IRS locations and/or organizations. In this role you will coordinate the impact of the project with employees and managers in all affected areas within the Service and with individuals and organizations outside the Service. Specifically, you will use your analytical and technical skills to conduct in-depth analyses of project data, requirements, and impact and you will identify problem areas and determine how to resolve them.
As a Management and Program Analyst you will:
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-13 Level: You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience writing or reviewing IRMs for structure and formatting; Experience using a software for reviewing, writing and updating IRMs or other official documents for publication (e.g., XML Arbortext Software); Experience with project assignments using analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative to accomplish projects or studies. Experience in researching laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the assigned project or study; Experience using management principles and processes to perform project management duties and to effectively coordinate and integrate project objectives and recommendations and experience communicating both orally and in writing.
-The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
