Repairs and mantains various types and makes of campers, utility and boat trailers. Performs general servicing and installs accessories and major assembles. Instructs patrons in all phases of trailer use, care and safety points. Performs minor repairs on small equipment. Diagnoses and repairs mechanical or other defects on campers and makes necessary repairs (carpentry, painting and minor fiberglass repairs). Repair tents and camper tent tops using a heavy-duty sering machine. Assist in the diagnoses, outboard motors to determine the malfunction, source of trouble and determine the extent of repairs required, including electrical system, geared untis, fuel system and components. Using the manufacturers manuals, assists with tears down, repairs, reassembles and running of operational checks on equipment, adjusting to manufaturers specifications using specialized testing equipment. Assists in the maintenance of both aluminum and fiberglass boats and boat trailers in safe operating condition. Determines supplies and parts needed for repair of the motors and trailers and maintain maintenance records on the equipment repaired. Instructs patrons in all phases of ssafety regulations and proper, safe use of boat while in their possession.
May collect fee for the rental of equipment, makes reservations for boat and camping equipment. Prepares a daily activity report (DAR) listing all monies taken in for the day.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
