The Staff Psychologist in the Mental Health Clinic (MHC) is a member of the Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences (MHBS) Service Line of the Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System (NAVAHCS). The position is located in MHC, and supports mental health needs in various locations at the Prescott Facility (e.g., Emergency Department [ED], Primary Care [PC], Inpatient Medical Units, Community Living Center [CLC]).

The incumbent's primary responsibility is to diagnose mental disorders, conduct psychological or neuropsychological screening assessments, treat mental disorders through a variety of modalities, and provide adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders. Among the modalities provided are individual, family, and group psychotherapies and other interventions such as behavioral health and community interventions. Psychologists consult with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues. They may be involved in program evaluation, teaching, training, and research activities.
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday
