The Infectious Disease (ID) Physician is assigned to the Medicine Service at the VA Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS) in Fresno, CA. The services shall be to provide patient care as an Infectious Disease physician in any clinical area that may include outpatient and inpatient care.

Responsibilities also include providing consultations in any clinic setting and in ID and HIV clinics in a teaching and non-teaching setting. The physician will participate in quality assurance/performance measures, research development, and maintaining internal/external organizational liaisons. The physician is responsible for participating in a variety of meetings and/or committees within and related to the Medicine Service, VACCHCS facility and other associated organizations.
The physician is involved in clinical, educational, and research programs which will require the supervision of fellows and residents through the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Fresno Medical Education Program. The physician should be board eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) and Infectious Disease and will require a faculty appointment with UCSF Fresno.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Will be on-call for patient care, as needed.
