As a Human Resources Specialist with the Staffing, Classification and Benefits Branch, you will provide a day-to-day operating support to assigned organizational components in the delivery of Classification and Staffing duties.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
GS-13: You must have one year of specialized experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: interpreting, implementing, adapting, and applying human resources laws, regulations, procedures, and practices related to staffing, recruitment, position management and classification, for a full range of positions and grades; analyzing and resolving a variety of HR issues in these areas, including those of a highly complex, sensitive, and controversial nature; developing, reviewing, and/or implementing standard operating policies and procedures for HR; interpreting and applying position classification standards to determine the title, grade and occupational series for positions; advising on procedural and regulatory requirements governing the staffing process; providing human resources advisory services regarding staffing & recruitment, classification and position management; preparing internal and external vacancy announcements; performing job analysis; utilizing position management principles, reviewing new or revised policy to determine impact.
The experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
