WHAT IS THE WAGE AND INVESTMENT DIVISION (W&I)? The wage and investment division (W&I) serves about 122 million taxpayers who file upwards of 94 million returns each year. W&I provides high-quality taxpayer assistance, and enable taxpayers to transact and communicate electronically to file their returns and make payments.

This is an assignment with no promotion potential, change to your current permanent position description of record, or post of duty. To qualify for this position you must be able to demonstrate the level of technical expertise and experience to plan and conduct quality review on basic or advance areas of tax law, Procedures, policies, techniques, or other specialized fields unique to your position/occupation to carry out the responsibilities. You must have a current performance appraisal rating of fully successful or above , you must currently be on the position description and the post of duty listed in the vacancy announcement.

Performance Appraisal/Awards: Submit a copy of your most recent completed performance appraisal.
