As a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC at the WG-4749-10 some of your typical work assignments may include:
· Performs electrical work installing, modifying, repairing, and testing new and existing electrical lines, circuits, and systems including wiring, conduit and other electrical equipment.
· Work involves diagnosing and locating malfunctions, dismantling, repairing, reassembling, installing, replacing, and performing preventative maintenance on large systems that provide for a variety of heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
· Installs, modifies, and repairs new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems.
· Develops contract specifications and inspects the services rendered by contractors and completes necessary forms in accordance with inspection duties.
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this position.

Must be able to obtain and maintain certification by an EPA approved institute as it pertains to the handling and control of refrigerants (Freon) and other Ozone Depleting Substances (OZDs) associated with the HV AC trade.
