As a TRAINING TECHNICIAN, GS-1702-7, you will perform a variety of training duties in connection with the operation of school programs conducted by training institute; prepare training calendars, ensure courses approved are conducted with current regulations; review training/educational material; provide assistance in revision of Programs of Instruction; receive, store, issue/reproduce student training materials; ensure students receive text materials for each course; maintain a roster of instructors and ensure they meet necessary requirements to conduct instruction; prepare field-training plans; conduct reconnaissance visits/evaluate suitability of training site; prepare/submit requests/coordinate use of training areas, ranges, facilities, ammunition forecasting/ordering; coordinate requests for vehicles, equipment, fuel/required resources with sources of supply; ensure classrooms/training areas are available for courses/programs; prepare training charts, schematics/graphs; determine common task test list requirements for enlisted staff; establish/maintain academy functional files for OCS, NCOES, special schools in accordance with current regulations; coordinate preparation of applicable forms for training events; primary ATRRS operator for the institute; ensure management of system for approved training program is in accordance with current regulations, guidance/policies; ensure administrative data entered in system is up to date; work with Training Specialist in development of class schedules, input them into ATRRS; perform all ATRRS transactions associated with Training Resource Arbitration Panel process; produce/analyze ATRRS reports for Training Administrator/staff; establish pinpoint accounts with appropriate publication centers; determine type, quantity of course material needed, place orders to maintain sufficient stock; post changes to regulations/publications; fabricate training aids; maintain lesson plan files for OCS, NCOES, Special Schools; direct classroom arrangement, make minor modifications; maintain a library of publications; prepare routine correspondence relative to training activities; initiate correspondence with training sites to coordinate use of ranges, facilities, training areas, equipment; pertaining to requirements; coordinate acquisition of training materials; maintain training files; maintain organizational data, TDA charts/personnel assignments; prepare requests for change to TDA staff positions; prepare reports for NGB/other headquarters.

Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement.
