(1) Reviews, extracts, analyzes, and collates maintenance data and prepares maintenance summaries from reports submitted by subordinate maintenance and Class IX activities. Summarizes and interprets collected data and compares data to maintenance plans, standards, and actions.
(2) Administers, consolidates, edits, and analyzes manpower utilization reports. Collects data, reviews for completeness and accuracy, and analyzes the final product for impact on the maintenance community. Provides analysis on trends to other supervisors. Compares density of equipment with the Equipment Status Report (ESR) and End Item Master Identification File (EMIF). Computes personnel requirements based on density and manpower equivalents using Surface Maintenance Requirements database or equivalent.
(3) Prepares reports of man-hour utilization for each shop and its effect on the states backlog goals. Develops and implements standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the tool and equipment calibration program. Coordinates automation of the Master Calibration file with data processing (ADP) personnel, and may be required to code or format standard reporting data. Ensures inventory and recall system is accurate and concise and follows up to ensure all items are turned in for calibration as scheduled. Responsible for scheduling and coordination of the Depot Calibration Team with the supporting US Army Depot.
(4) Oversees the Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) program by assisting in training and instructing maintenance activity personnel in the preparation of forms, records and reports submitted; initiating required follow-up action; notifying units and maintenance activities of corrective actions required and improvements needed in future reporting; and ensuring consolidation and submission of reports. Maintains close liaison with the National Guard Bureau (NGB), National Maintenance Point (NMP), Logistical Data Center (LDC), and other activities to improve maintenance within the state. Coordinates automation of reports with systems personnel and may be required to convert standard reporting data to codes and/or formats. Coordinates with NGB to recommend both system and functional revisions to the standard army maintenance reporting system.
(5) Performs other duties as assigned.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Current possession of the required AFSC/MOS is not a disqualifying factor. However, if selected for this position, it will require the incumbent selected to obtain/maintain a compatible AFSC/MOS. Incumbent must also be assigned to a compatible unit.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
