The Associate Chief Counsel (Finance & Management) (F&M) supports the administrative, financial, and managerial programs of the Office of Chief Counsel and provides advice to the Chief Counsel and Deputies Chief Counsel on all management matters for the organization nationwide. F&M also has field responsibility for all administrative functions and personnel across the country.
As a Management Analyst, the incumbent conducts and manages various management studies, relying on statistical analyses to support strategic program planning, budgeting and resource allocation, and develops constructive recommendations to solve management and administrative challenges affecting the Office of Chief Counsel.

Rating: Your application will be evaluated in the following areas: 1) Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program and personnel effectiveness or improvement of management processes and systems; 2) Knowledge of commercial office software, such as the Microsoft Office suite, for preparation and analysis of spreadsheets, graphics, word processing, and databases and for project management and analysis; 3) Knowledge of statistical, accounting, budget, and economic principles and techniques in order to gather and analyze data sets; 4) Knowledge of the most up-to-date theories of management and organizational design, qualitative and quantities research methods; 5) Knowledge of a structure query language, such as SQL, and other ad hoc query tools, such as Business Objects, to manipulate and extract data in a relational database; and 6) Skill in developing strong working relationships with key personnel.
