The Director, Army Intelligence Community Information Management, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2 is the functional Army Intelligence Chief Information Officer, Intelligence Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) policy maker, Intelligence Data Steward, and Certification and Accreditation authority for Army Systems that process Sensitive Compartmented Information. The director develops Army Intelligence IM/IT policy, vision, and implementation/resourcing strategies on a global scale for LandISRNet, the intelligence component of LandWarNet, including the transport layer, communications, applications and applicable standards. The director represents the Army and the DCS, G-2 at the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) level and interfaces directly with the Intelligence Community CIO as one of the 17 members of the Intelligence Community for determining comprehensive, functional IM/IT policy, strategy, and compliance. Independently anticipates and resolves major challenges and addresses policy and strategy matters associated with frequent and rapid changes in threat intelligence and IM/IT enablers. Serves as the Army expert in Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Department of Defense Intelligence Information Systems (DODIIS) requirements and resource planning. Serves as the Intelligence IM/IT functional expert with the Army CIO/G6. Oversees compliance of IM/IT policy within Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities across the Force and around the world. Responsible for a budget of $200+ million (base and overseas contingency operations). Performance is reviewed in the broadest terms for technical perceptiveness, managerial competence and senior leadership effectiveness for contribution to Echelons Above Corps (EAC) and Echelons Corps and Below (ECB) garrison intelligence missions. Serves under the general direction of and receives broad strategic guidance from the DCS, G-2. Oversees a workforce of 151 combined military, civilians and contractor personnel (CME); directly supervises personnel at the GS-15 and DISL level.
