Performs a wide range of warehousing activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping a variety of supplies, materials, equipment and resale merchandise. Receives, unloads and processes incoming shipments/trucks. Reports over, short or damaged conditions. Completes and signs shipping and receiving reports. Routes material and equipment to correct locations or storage areas. Stacks, bins, rotate and marks/prices stock in accordance with standard warehouse procedures. Locates, accesses, loads and movies material for shipment and verifies or prepares documents either manually or by using automated equipment such as computer terminal and bar code wands to read, store, track and purpose vehicles. Counts types and quantities of items during inventories. Recounts or searches other storage locations to assist in determining the basis for over, short or misplaced items. Responsible for efficient use of the Integrated Business Intelligence Suite (IBIS) applications in the retail store. Monitors work processes and results. Takes actions to ensure ongoing system’s effectiveness. Performs detailed clerical/technical support involving the merchandise system by applying established guidelines and practices in reviewing frustrated freight, vendor invoices, purchase orders, verifying quantities received and changes to cost and or retail to merchandise for all sites within the command. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Check for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment and observes work procedures. Promptly reports and observed workplace hazards and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as required.
EVALUATIONS:
Skill in all phases of warehousing operations, accepting warehousing methods, procedures and techniques of material handling. Must be able to work independently. Must have the ability to accomplish arithmetic computations and regulations and have the ability to read and write. Must possess the ability to analyze and resolve issues. Must have the ability to interpret all types of documents involved in warehouse receiving and distribution. Skills to process and independently complete shipping and receiving documents to insure correctness of quantities, identification criteria and labeling. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages to include database, spreadsheet, internet access and merchandising operations/systems. Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to effectively communicate with all level of MCX personnel. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs. independently and objects over 45 lbs. with assistance.
